This is one amazing laptop which was announced quite a while ago by ASUS, but so far it’s not available in stores. Why? I don’t know, however, the ASUS UL30Vt-X1 is now available for pre-order at Amazon at the stunning price of $799. The price is a bit high and you probably won’t change your mind even after you’ll read the somewhat impressive specs. The ASUS UL30Vt-X1 sports a 1.3GHz Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo chipset, 4GB DDR3 RAM expandable up to 8GB, 500GB SATA HDD at 5400rpm, 13.3-inch widescreen HD LED LCD, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit among others.
The laptop is available only in black, and it measures 12.9 x 9.3 x 1-inch while weighing 3.7 pounds; numbers which should be considered good as the notebook is very thin and very light, and isn’t portability one of the main aspects when buying such product? The ASUS UL30Vt-X1 features an Nvidia G210M Graphics card with 512MB DDR3 memory plus an Intel GMA 4500MHD card , WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 0.3-megapixel webcam. Every piece of hardware works automatically without any need for configuration. Video’s play smoothly both in VLC and in flash in the browser, and the sound is great.
